Yay prehistory! Prehistory refers to the period of human history before the invention of writing systems and recorded history. It encompasses the time from the earliest known use of tools by hominins, millions of years ago, up until the development of written records in various parts of the world. Prehistory is typically divided into three main periods: the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, and the Iron Age, based on the materials humans used to make tools and artifacts. Since there are no written sources, our understanding of prehistory comes from archaeological findings, such as fossils, tools, and cave art.
